Lexington Humane Society asking for help after July 4th weather stymies fundraising
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lexington Humane Society says severe weather on the 4th of July swept away tents, toys, and t-shirts, along with substantial fundraising revenue.
LHS says that the shelter is at capacity, taking care of 500 animals, and that the lost revenue couldn’t have come at a worse time.
It is asking the public to consider making a donation to help them recoup some of the lost funds.

LHS also says people can help by adopting animals or being a foster. More information about that can be found here: http://lexingtonhumanesociety.org/
