LFD: Two brush fires at home on Briar Hill Road

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington firefighters spent part of Monday evening putting out two brush fires at a home on Briar Hill Road. Firefighters kept the fires from spreading to any structures. No one was hurt. Investigators say the homeowner had burn permits, but those are temporarily suspended because of an outdoor burn ban that is in effect in Fayette County until 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 23, 2016.

The burn ban is in place because of the dry conditions and wind. All outdoor burning, including grilling-out, is prohibited, according to fire officials.
