LFD: Thermal detectors help crews fight fire at Sarasota Court home
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lexington Fire Department responded to a house fire in the 1800 block of Sarasota court around 7 a.m. Tuesday.
According to Battalion Chief Jeff Nantz — crews initially could not find the fire and had to use thermal detectors.
The fire was in the ceiling and attic and spread through the vents of the home.
Crews had to take down drywall to knock down the fire.
The family living there made it out safely and were uninjured, according to the fire department.
