LFD: No Working Smoke Detectors In House That Caught Fire
There weren’t any working smoke detectors in a house that caught fire Wednesday night in the 1800 block of Balfour Drive, according to the Lexington Fire Department.
Investigators said the man who lives in the house came home just after 10:00 p.m. and saw smoke coming out of the home.
Four dogs were saved from inside the house, according to the fire department.
Investigators said no one was hurt.
Firefighters said it took about 20-minutes to put the fire out.
The cause wasn’t immediately known, according to investigators.
