LFD: Driver crashes into Wyndham Hill home and car, abandons scene

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Investigators are looking for a driver who crashed their car into a home off Wyndham Hill Drive and ran away.

The crash happened at around 1 a.m. Thursday. The homeowner told ABC 36 she was in her bedroom at the time.

Fire crews say that the cause of the accident is still under investigation.

ABC 36 was told the driver knocked out a kitchen wall and then destroyed a fence.

On the other side of that fence was the homeowner’s car that was also damaged in the crash. According to the homeowner, her car was pushed several feet away from where she originally parked it.

She told ABC 36  she was shocked that someone would cause all of this damage to her property and just take off.

Fire crews say the home is stable enough to live in until the property is fixed permanently.

No injuries were reported in the crash.
