LFD battles fire at apartment unit on Codell Drive

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Lexington Fire Department is on the scene of a fire at an apartment building. Crews were called to the 100 block of Codell Drive a little before 8:30 tonight. Firefighters say an unattended grill started the fire. At least two units were damaged.

According to investigators, six people will have to find someplace to stay because of the fire. Firefighters say two people are being checked for possible smoke inhalation.
