Lextran to renovate East Vine Street transit center

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Major renovations are coming to the Lextran Transit Center on East Vine Street, with construction set to begin on Monday, April 7.

According to Lextran, the project will include a new customer area, updated public restrooms, and a redesigned employee break room. During the renovations, bus loading areas will be temporarily relocated to High Street behind the transit center.

Additionally, Lextran says bus passes will only be available online or at the Loudon administrative office throughout the construction period.

The renovations are expected to take approximately eight months to complete.
