Lexington’s Week of Valor starts this weekend

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) —  Mayor Linda Gorton will join Rev. Jim Thurman and other advocates for veterans for a news conference at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1st, to discuss Lexington’s Week of Valor activities.

The news conference will be held in the lobby of the Government Center.

Week of Valor 2019 is a two-week celebration in Lexington this year, with organizations working together to celebrate Veterans.

The celebration kicks off Nov. 1, with Mayor Linda Gorton issuing a proclamation designating November 1-16 as Week of Valor.
