Lexington’s NYE celebrations moving inside

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — The City of Lexington says it’s New Year’s Eve celebration will be held inside the Central Bank Center due to the chance of rain.

The children’s activities will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Activities for adults will start at 9 p.m. on the second floor with live music from Tee Dee Young and Honeychild.

Mayor Linda Gorton will be at the celebration to countdown to midnight as the event is set to kickoff the city’s year-long 250th anniversary celebration.

The Central Bank Center’s clear-bag policy will be enforced.
