Lexington’s first homicide victim of 2020 identified; suspect arrested

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Fayette County Coroner’s Office has released the name of a man shot and killed Wednesday night in Lexington.

The coroner says 20-year-old Gregory Lee Miller Jr. was pronounced dead at the University of Kentucky hospital around 8:22 p.m.

Lexington Police say Miller was shot in the neck by 25-year-old Jaquan St. Louis at a home on Rambling Creek Drive around 7:39 p.m.

According to police, St. Louis says he did not know the gun was loaded when he pointed it at Miller and fired.

St. Louis is charged with reckless homicide.

This is the first reported homicide in Lexington in 2020.

According to police, there have been four shootings in Lexington this week.
