Lexington’s Back-to-School Fun Festival offers free supplies and health checkups

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — As the first day of school approaches, Lexington families can get ready at a free Back-to-School Fun Festival Monday. Officials say the event runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Bluegrass Community Health Center’s Eagle Creek location.

Attendees will receive complimentary backpacks filled with school supplies, on-site health screenings, and a special appearance by a University of Kentucky football player, organizers announced.
