Lexington To Open Cooling Center Again
The statement is effective for Tuesday, July 17 and Wednesday, July 18.
Heat indices both days could reach 100-degrees.
As a result, the city of Lexington is opening the Dunbar Community Center at 545 North Upper Street as a cooling center.
It will be open Tuesday and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
People who need a ride to the center can use LexTran for free.
Admission at Lexington’s aquatic centers and swimming pools will be half-price on Tuesday and Wednesday.
