Lexington tests fireworks ahead of July 4

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- The city shot some fireworks Monday night as a test ahead of July 4.

Lexington is moving its fireworks show near Commonwealth Stadium. It’s the future home of the Fourth of July fireworks show, after years in the downtown area.

Commonwealth Stadium won’t be open for fireworks watchers. But the parking lot will be.
