UPDATE: Lexington teen still fighting for his life after shooting

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A teenager is fighting for his life after a shooting Friday night in Lexington.

The shooting began shortly after 6:00 P.M. on Glen Arvin Avenue near Georgetown Street. Investigators think the victim was in his car in a shootout with at least one other car.

They don’t know yet how many people may have been involved. After the victim was shot in his car, he drove to a house in the 600 block of Georgetown Street to get help, the people who live in the home he stopped at called 911.

The victim was rushed into surgery at UK hospital. Detectives believe drugs were involved in the shooting.
