Lexington teen killed in Richmond shooting Sunday

RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Lexington teenager is dead after being shot Sunday morning in Richmond.

According to Richmond Police, around 2:47 a.m. officers responded to the RC Conference Hall at the Eastern Bypass for reports of shots fired.

Richmond Police say when officers arrived they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was taken to a medical facility where he was pronounced dead.

The man is identified as 18-year-old, Alexis R. Jenkins, of Lexington.
