A Lexington teen charged in a string of robberies

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police say a teenager has been charged in connection with four gas station robberies.

A 16-year-old male, is charged with three counts of first-degree robbery and one count of attempted robbery.

The teen already was in custody at the juvenile detention center on unrelated charges.

Police say the teen is believed to be connected with robberies on Nov. 25th at the Shell station on Nicholasville Road, Nov. 26th at the Circle K on West Main Street and three separate robberies on Nov. 28th.

Those robberies were at the Thornton’s on Winchester Road, Super America on Tates Creek and the Speedway on Richmond Road.

His name is not being released because of his age.
