Lexington Subway Restaurants partner with local 4-H to launch “4-H Sundays at Subway”

Lexington, Ky. – This Sunday, June 25, Lexington Subway restaurants will launch a partnership with local 4-H clubs to feature “4-H Sundays at Subway”.  Every Sunday through August 27, participating Subway restaurants will be making a donation to local 4-H Healthy Living Programs to help local youth understand the importance of eating well and being active.

4-H is America’s largest youth development organization, with more than 6 million participants nationally and more than 90,700 in the Lexington area. Their Healthy Living Program enables youth to experience youth-led, hands-on programs in nutrition education, cooking, physical activity and emotional well-being.

“Subway and 4-H share a vision of promoting habits that empower youth in our communities to better understand the importance of eating well and being active,” said George Estep, local Subway franchisee based in Columbus, IN. “We are proud to launch this dynamic campaign that will make a positive impact in our local communities.”

There are more than 2,000 Subway restaurants in Indiana, Ohio, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, Michigan and Alabama that will be participating in “4-H Sundays at Subway” this summer. Collectively, these participating markets will be donating funds up to $116,500 of sales on Sundays through August 27, 2017.
