Lexington student advances in schoool bus safety contest

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – One of the winners for the annual state school bus safety poster contest is an 8-year-old girl from Mary Todd Elementary in Lexington.

Gabriella Rivera, is now in third grade.  State officials say her colorful crayon drawing illustrated the theme for 2015, which was a "bully-free zone."  Gabriella and two other winners now advance to compete in the nationwide poster contest.

The ultimate winning entry will be used to promote National School Bus Safety Week.
