Lexington student accused of using brass knuckles during fight

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Lexington student is facing charges after school officials say he brought a deadly weapon onto school grounds.

The Fayette County School District says the student used brass knuckles in a fight with another student at Henry Clay High School on Monday.

According to a letter sent to parents by Henry Clay High School Principal Paul Little, the student has been charged with unlawful possession of a weapon on school property, which is a felony.

Little says the student will also face “administrative consequences” through the school district.

In the letter, parents were asked to check their child’s backpacks to make sure they are not bringing dangerous items to school.
