Lexington an “All-Star City” for equality
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Lexington is one of 41 cities to earn an “All-Star City” designation in the Human Rights Campaign’s annual Municipal Equality Index scoring.
Lexington Fairness says the city scored a 92 on the national survey, Lexington’s highest score ever.
The group says it made the score a top priority last year with help from Mayor Jim Gray and the Lexington Division of Police.
The Index rates cities every year on their ordinances and services aimed at protecting the LGBTQ community.
