Lexington shooting sends three to the hospital

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- A shooting in the 500 block of Ohio Street sends three to the hospital Sunday.

This is reported as the first shooting of 2018.

Police say they were responding to a fire on Ohio Street when they heard gunshots nearby just before 2:30 Sunday afternoon.

They found five shell casings at the corner of Ohio and East Fifth Streets.

Police confirm three people were shot including one adult and two juveniles.

One of the victims is in serious condition, while the other two have non-life threatening injuries.

Police say they do not have any suspect descriptions.

A house on the corner of the street had surveillance cameras that investigators say they have taken as evidence.

The shooting is still under investigation.
