Lexington Shines With Tree Lighting Ceremony

Lexington kicked off the holiday season Friday night with its annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at Triangle Park.

Santa Claus and Mayor Jim Gray did the official lighting.

It was part of several events downtown.

Families also enjoyed music, ice skating and an artists’ market.
The community was encouraged to return downtown for the city’s Christmas Parade.

It will be held Tuesday, December 2, at 7:00 p.m. on Main Street between Midland Avenue and Mill Street.

Organizers said the review stand and handicap seating area will be located on Main Street near North Limestone.
