UPDATE: Lexington restaurant reopens after being closed due to mice

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers says it’s been given the all-clear to reopen after being shut down last week over concerns about mice infestation.

The gourmet burger chain, on Polo Club Boulevard, near Costco, was closed by the Lexington-Fayette County Health Department on February 4 due to an infestation of mice, according to a report in the Lexington Herald-Leader.

The report says the restaurant also had contaminated single-service items.

A representative with Freddy’s says the restaurant reopened Tuesday after undergoing another health inspection.
