Lexington Recycling Center to temporarily close in January

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lexington Recycling Center says it is temporarily closing its doors in January.

The city announced Wednesday the center will be closed from January 6 – 19 to upgrade equipment.

During that time, the city is asking people to hold their recyclables until collection begins again on January 20.

The upgrades are part of a $2 million investment program in the recycling center that began earlier this year.
