Lexington Pollice investigating an early morning shooting

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Lexington police are investigating an early-morning shooting that left a woman injured.

Officers were dispatched around 4:58 a.m. Dec. 26 to the 200 block of South Limestone for a report of a shooting with a victim. When police arrived, they found a female who had been shot.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening, according to police.

No suspect information has been released. The investigation remains ongoing.
