Lexington Police stay busy Saturday with three shootings

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)-   Lexington Police had their hands full Saturday with three separate shooting incidents in a span of about three and a half hours.

The last happened on Bryan Avenue. Before that, around 7:45 was a call to the area of 6th Street and Mustang Crossing and the first, just after 6 p.m. was a shooting near Winchester and Loudon with the victim showing up on Lakeshore Drive.

Around 9:20 Saturday night, Lexington Police say two masked men entered a home on Bryan Avenue uninvited. Officers say they approached one person, shooting him in the hip. That man was taken to UK with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers say there were other people in the home at the time of the shooting who were providing information during the investigation.

A little earlier, around 7:45, police were called to the area of 6th and Ohio for shots fired. Around 10 minutes later, officers say a man with a minor gunshot wound was found in the area of 6th and Mustang Crossing.

They say he was taken to the hospital but didn’t tell police what had happened. Police say they’re currently investigating leads in that case.

Around 6 p.m. Saturday, police say road rage led to a shooting near Winchester Road and Loudon.

They say the suspect was believed to be driving a white Tahoe and shot a victim. That victim showed up later on Lakeshore Drive before being taken to the hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

All those investigations are considered ongoing.
