Lexington Police seek information in a 2008 homicide case
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Lexington police are asking for the public’s help in solving a homicide that has gone unsolved for more than 15 years.
According to the Lexington Police Department, the shooting happened late on the night of Aug. 17, 2008.
Officers were called around 11:23 p.m. to a home in the 100 block of Lakeshore Drive after reports of a disturbance involving a weapon. When police arrived, they found Jermaine Howard suffering from a gunshot wound.
Howard was taken to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Police say the case remains under investigation, and detectives believe someone may still have information that could help bring answers to Howard’s family.
