Lexington Police Searching For Shooter

According to police, a woman was sitting in a car when a man pulled up in an SUV.

Officers said the man fired a shot through the driver’s side window and drove off. They said the bullet hit the woman who was sitting in the passenger’s seat.

Police said a man and a child were also in the car, but were not hurt.

The woman was rushed to UK Hospital for a bullet wound to her abdomen.

Officers said they have identified a suspect. They said the shooter is the woman’s ex-boyfriend and she had previously put a restraining order on him.
