UPDATE: “Armed and dangerous” suspect in connection to Lexington homicide in custody, say police

UPDATE FROM LEXINGTON POLICE: UPDATE: Mar 5, 2025: Brooklyn Trigg is in custody. She is currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center on Murder (Complicity) and Tampering with Physical Evidence in connection with the homicide.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Lexington police are asking for the public’s help in locating a second suspect in connection to a January homicide on Fairmont Court.

According to police, Brooklyn Trigg, 21, is wanted on charges of murder (complicity) and tampering with physical evidence. Authorities warn that Trigg is considered armed and dangerous and urge anyone who sees her to contact law enforcement immediately.

The homicide occurred on January 19th, when officers responded to a shooting on Fairmont Court and found a male victim who had suffered a fatal gunshot wound.

Last week, Darrion Saliford, 22, was arrested in connection to the case. He was charged on February 24 with murder, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and tampering with physical evidence. Saliford remains in custody at the Fayette County Detention Center.
