Lexington police search for two people in deadly hit-and-run accident

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lexington Police Department is asking for help identifying a driver and a passenger involved in a fatal crash that killed a bicyclist.

John V. Oliver was struck while standing next to his bicycle on North Limestone on Saturday, October 20 around 2:06 a.m.

According to police, video surveillance of the accident shows a silver/gray 2004-2009 Kia Spectra hit Oliver.

Police say the car pulls onto Academy Alley and a man and woman get out of the car and walk back to the scene where they stay until police arrive.

Police describe the man and the woman as white with thin builds. The woman’s hair was in dreadlocks.
