Lexington Police say two vapor shop burglaries may be connected
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)-Two vapor shop managers woke up late last night to broken glass, after robbers smashed their windows and got away with merchandise.
Lexington Police have released two separate suspect descriptions in these vapor shop robberies, but they could be the same man. Because of the similar circumstances police say these robberies could be connected.
At around midnight police say a witness saw a man throw a cinder block into the front window of the avail vapor location on Nichols Park.
The suspect got away with several vaping items including vape juice and fled on a dark colored dirt bike. There was no comment from Avail Vapor as the investigation is still ongoing.
About a ten minute drive away on Southland Drive police were soon called to precision vapor for a similar break-in. The suspect who is described as a young man wearing dark clothing also smashed in the front window. The owner says he got away with about $1,000 of vaping equipment and vape juice.
Both businesses have security cameras, but police are unable to release the video at this time. Although in both burglaries the robber was able to get away with merchandise, no money was stolen.
Unfortunately at Avail Vapor they did lose some business today as they were closed for several hours. They were hoping to reopen later today. At Precision Vapor employees went back to work as normal minus the boarded windows.
