Lexington Police Say Man In Clown Mask Robbed Cell Phone Store

According to police, it happened Friday around lunch time at the intersection of Versailles Road and Alexandria Drive.

Police said the suspect was dropped off in a black SUV. 

Officers said the man walked in, implied a weapon, and demanded money. 

Police said the SUV stayed nearby and picked the suspect up after he held up the store.

Investigators were asking nearby businesses if they saw anything, or had surveillance video showing the SUV.

Police said they were checking past robberies to see if there are any similarities in the cases.

They were especially interested in a recent robbery at Republic Bank on Harrodsburg Road in Lexington.
