Lexington police resume responding to non-injury crashes after handling more than 150 collisions

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – The Lexington Police Department says it has resumed taking reports and responding to non-injury crashes after handling a large number of incidents Tuesday morning.

According to police, as of 11:40 a.m. on March 17, officers are again responding to non-injury collisions. Anyone involved in a crash is asked to call (859) 258-3600 or 911.

From midnight until 11:30 a.m., officers responded to several calls across the city, including:

  • 16 injury collisions

  • 139 non-injury collisions

  • 78 motorist or citizen assists

  • 44 traffic hazards

Officials continue to urge drivers to slow down, use caution on the roads, and allow extra travel time.
