Man shot and robbed in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police say a man suffered severe injuries after being shot and then robbed of his wallet Tuesday afternoon.

Investigators say it happened outside the Caballo Run Apartments on Hollow Creek Road around 5:00 p.m.

Police say two men approached the victim, shot him, robbed him and drove off in a blue Chevy Cobalt.

The victim’s injuries, though severe, were not considered life-threatening, according to police. His name wasn’t released.

So far, no arrests.

This was the third shooting in north Lexington in less than 24-hours. The other two were overnight on Winburn Drive. Police believe one of those shootings was accidental.
