Lexington Police Officer Involved In Accident
A Lexington Police officer was involved in an accident in a cruiser just before 11:00 p.m. Wednesday.
Police tell ABC 36 the officer said he thought he spotted a driver texting and driving on New Circle Road and Georgetown and, when he leaned over to turn on his lights and siren, he ran off the road and flipped his cruiser.
Police said the officer was taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries. No one else was hurt.
