Lexington police officer involved in crash

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Lexington Police Department says an officer was involved in a crash Tuesday morning.

It happened just before 9 a.m. at the intersection of Man O’ War Boulevard and Richmond Road.

The department says the officer was responding to a call of a crash on I-75 and Winchester Road when his cruiser and another car collided.

Both the officer and the other driver suffered minor injuries and were taken to the University of Kentucky Hospital as a precaution, according to Lexington Police.
