Lexington Police officer injured in collision on way to call

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Lexington Police officer and several other people suffered minor injuries in a two-car collision Monday afternoon, according to Lexington Police.

Investigators say the officer had his lights and siren on while responding to a call when the collision happened in the intersection of Harrodsburg Road and Man O’ War Boulevard around 1:50 p.m.

The police car and one other vehicle were involved in the collision, according to police.

No names were released.

The Lexington Police Department’s Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) is investigating the accident.
