Man accused of stabbing Lexington police officer
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Lexington Police officer is in stable condition after being assaulted on Sunday morning, according to police.
Officials say around 9:30 a.m. officers were called to St. Joseph East Hospital for a man who was causing a disorder in the emergency room.
While officers were attempting to place 29-year-old Michael B. Terry under arrest, he produced a sharp object, stabbing one of the officers in the torso, according to investigators.
Police say Terry was charged with assault against a police officer, resisting arrest, menacing and disorderly conduct.
