Lexington Police: Officer Assaulted, Teens Arrested During Large Disorder
Lexington Police say an officer was assaulted and two teens were arrested during a large disorder Thursday night at the corner of Chantilly Street and Rugby Road.
Police tell ABC 36 News that it started when officers responded to a report of a group of teens fighting in the street.
Police say when they arrived, two 16-year old boys assaulted an officer who immediately called for backup.
The officer wasn’t hurt.
Police arrested both juveniles.
Investigators say a juvenile girl was assaulted. She was taken to the hospital with what police call non-life threatening injuries.
