Lexington Police Officer Accused Of Harassing Teen Referee
A Lexington police officer is at the center of an investigation after a reported incident involving a teenaged referee at a soccer game.
According to Kentucky Referee Committee Chairman Oliver Barber, a man harassed a 13-year-old volunteer referee on October 16th during a game in Scott County.
Barber says that man eventually grabbed the teenager by the arm and threatened him.
The parents filed a complaint.
The Scott County Sheriff’s office is now investigating Lexington Police Officer Keith Spears.
