Lexington Police investigating “suspicious” death

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police are investigating what they call a suspicious death of an elderly woman in her River Park Circle home. 

Police say they were initially called to the home Tuesday evening to check on the woman, who they say they found dead inside.  Investigators say the death appeared suspicious, so homicide detectives were called to the scene. 

So far, police have not said why investigators are calling the death suspicious.  The department’s mobile crime lab was brought to the scene.
