UPDATE: Coroner: Child found dead in Lexington died of hyperthermia

The Fayette County Coroner’s Office has released the cause of death for an infant found dead on Thursday night.
The coroner says 2-month-old Valen Hakizimana died of hyperthermia. He was pronounced dead at 8:13 p.m. at a home on Barksdale Drive.
The circumstance surrounding the infant’s death are still under investigation, according to the coroner.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police are investigating after a child was found dead Thursday night.
The Fayette County Coroner’s Office says the child’s death was reported around 7:30 p.m. on Barksdale Drive in the Winburn neighborhood.
The Lexington Police Department confirm officers were called to Barksdale Drive to investigate the death of a child.
Both the coroner’s office and police say they weren’t releasing any further details at the moment due to the nature of the incident.
