Lexington Police investigating assault on Daniel Court

UPDATE (6:00 P.M.): According to the Lexington Police Department, officers were dispatched around 4:15 p.m. to the 2000 block of Daniel Court. When they arrived, they located a male victim with a reported non-life-threatening injury.

Police say the victim was taken to a hospital, where it was determined the injury did not result from a gunshot.

The circumstances surrounding the injury remain under investigation.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – The scene is cleared at what appears to have been a shooting call on Daniel Court, in an apartment complex, about a half-mile from Cardinal Valley Elementary School.

ABC 36 News Now has reached out to police and the Lexington Fire Department, which shows a medical call in that area. LFD told us their crews were sent to the area for a shooting call about 4:15 Wednesday afternoon.

Right now, we are working to learn the extent of any injuries, and information on a possible suspect.

Our crew on the scene says the area is clear and there is no police presence at this time.
