Lexington police investigate two weekend shootings; one arrest made

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Lexington Police are investigating two separate weekend shootings, one of which has led to an arrest.

On Saturday night, officers responded to a shooting near Baybrook and Mt. Tabor roads. Police say the incident followed a dispute between two vehicles. No one was injured.

Thirty-year-old Elijah Deal was arrested in connection with the incident and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, along with unrelated warrants.

In a separate case, police say a woman was grazed by a bullet during a shooting Sunday evening at Gainesway Park, near Tates Creek High School. She suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

No suspects have been identified in the Gainesway Park shooting.
