Lexington police investigate South Broadway robbery; suspect sought

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Lexington Police are investigating an early morning robbery that happened around 4:30 a.m. on March 14 in the 800 block of South Broadway. The case has been named the Bluegrass Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week.

According to police, the suspect initially asked for merchandise behind the counter. When the clerk turned to retrieve additional items, the suspect rushed behind the counter, grabbed the merchandise, and caused the clerk to fall, resulting in injuries to their hip and leg. The suspect then fled the scene.
