Lexington police honor crossing guard

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- For forty four years Mary Richardson has been helping students get to school safely, but this week she’s hanging up the whistle.

The Lexington Police Department posted pictures Friday, thanking Richardson for her service.

The 84-year-old worked along Chantilly Street and Deauville Drive during her time as a crossing guard.
