Lexington police continue investigating deadly 2024 shooting on Devonport Drive
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Bluegrass Crime Stoppers and Lexington Police are asking for help as they continue investigating a deadly shooting that happened last fall.
According to a Crime Stoppers alert, officers were called to the 2200 block of Devonport Drive around 9:29 p.m. on October 3, 2024, for reports of shots fired. When they arrived, police say they found two people outside a home suffering from gunshot wounds.
Both victims were taken to the hospital, where one of them — identified as Juan Angel Martinez-Bustos — died from his injuries.
Witnesses described the suspect as a skinny man, approximately 6 feet tall, wearing a red jacket and either black or red pants. He was also reportedly wearing black Air Jordans.
