Lexington names new Parks director
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Monica Conrad, Deputy Commissioner of the Kentucky Department of Parks, was named Thursday as Lexington’s new Director of Parks and Recreation.
Conrad has worked for Kentucky Parks since 2004, holding a variety of positions. She recently moved to Lexington from her native Morehead. Conrad holds a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University and she is a registered dietitian. She will begin work in Lexington in June, pending Urban County Council approval.
