Lexington mentoring program needs help getting grant
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- A local mentoring program is in the running to receive a grant from State Farm, but it needs your help to get it.
‘Sons of Single Mothers’ from ‘Believing in Forever, Inc.’ reaches out to boys ages five through 17 who live in single-mother households.
It offers weekly tutoring, and takes the kids on college visits, as well as to theme parks, movies, and more.
The program was picked to be in the top 200 initiatives nationwide for State Farm’s neighborhood assist program, and it is now in the running to receive a $25,000 grant from State Farm, but it need votes.
