Lexington Mayor unveils new 250th sculpture
LEXINGTON, KY. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Lexington Mayor Linda Gorton unveiled a new public art sculpture Friday morning celebrating the city’s 250th anniversary.
The piece — titled “A Common Thread” — was dedicated during a ceremony at the Robert F. Stephens Courthouse Plaza on North Limestone.
The event featured remarks from author Silas House and artists Benjamin Ball and Jim Clark, who helped bring the project to life.
The ceremony was also livestreamed on the city’s YouTube channel for those unable to attend in person.
